As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist II – Op Ex here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for driving global sourcing and procurement functional excellence and transformation to enable the Indirect sourcing organization to achieve strategic business directives and targets. You will also be supporting strategic sourcing initiatives to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and ensure supply chain efficiency. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement in the procurement function. You will report directly to our 1 and you will work out of our Mexico City/Monterrey location on a Hybrid work schedule. You will be managing key Projects end-to-end in a fast paced, complex business environment. You will help the Indirect team meet deadlines, track, monitor and summarize progress of projects, and prepare reports for senior leadership regarding status.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive continuous improvement in the procurement function by implementing best practices, process improvements, and supplier performance metrics.
• Own, refine and manage strategic and operational Management Operating System (MOS) Globally for Indirect sourcing to enable execution of performance targets and sourcing transformation.
• Provide indirect sourcing productivity and working capital insights from various data sources.
• Leverage technology solutions, such as sourcing software and analytics, to enhance sourcing processes, monitoring, and reporting.
• Lead the reporting and communication for key metrics such as productivity, working capital, pipeline, and contract renewals. Work hand in hand with data analytics team to drive insights that are actionable and differentiated.
• Engage with business and functional leadership to align on business needs/objectives and communicate performance/results.
• Develop and lead site and category productivity reviews and kaizen strategy events/initiatives focused on supplier productivity, working capital and value generation.
• Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepares status reports. Prepare KPI communication decks and communicate results to business and functional leaders such as finance.
• Build thorough understanding of Honeywell purchasing processes (Source-to- Contract, Procurement-to-Pay), policies and procedures to drive process and policy improvements to enable Indirect sourcing efficiencies and business results.
• Lead Indirect digital strategy in partnership with Digital Procurement COE. Serve as Indirect focal for Digital Procurement projects and initiatives.
• Drive Indirect spend controls and reduction initiatives.
• Assist In development and execution of sourcing strategies for Indirect COE. Continually conduct market analysis and stay informed of trends in industries and commodities. Benchmark peer companies as required.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures in all sourcing activities.
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s Degree required plus a minimum of three (3) years of related experience
• Experience in either Sourcing /Supply Management/Finance/Legal
• Very strong data analysis skills and demonstrated use of complex Excel / Power BI / Tableau tools.
• Strong Program management Experience including the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Able to influence and navigate teams through Ambiguous situations.
