Field Service Engineer

Key responsibilities

Becoming an expert and recognized trusted advisor for Gas Processing Adsorbents

· Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting services to UOP customers on the use of molecular sieve, & alumina products into the NG & Petrochemicals industries in close coordination with Sales

· Providing Field support when necessary for customer Loading, start-up, restart or troubleshooting, as a technical representative of UOP on adsorption units.

· Review, analyze and prepare data review reports on UOP adsorbent units operating data in accordance with Service Agreements

· Maintain close relationship with ME Gas customers’ technical and operations team.

· Conduct the break-through tests on UOP adsorbent units.

· Should understand all the engineering documents related to a gas plant eg: P&ID, PFD and GA drawings and should have experience with engineering software e.g. Hysis or unisim.

· Preparation of technical presentations and operator training material at customer’s site.

· Provide background and detailed test strategy to lab personnel on UOP adsorbents. Follow progress and reports results to customer.

Key skills and qualifications

Qualifications:

· University education in Chemical Engineering.

· Strong technical knowledge and expertise in adsorbents or related technologies

· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

· 4-5 years’ experience with gas processing technologies (NG or Steam Crackers) including Dryers in a technical support or operations role.

· Experience with UOP adsorbents in any gas plant is a plus.

· Strong interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to manage the extensive internal and external customer contact that the position demands.

· Experience in commissioning, startup, operation, troubleshooting and optimization of Gas units primarily Natural gas and Gas cracker.

· The position requires significant travel (50%) and associated personal flexibility. Some trips can be planned, but ability to travel at short notice is a requirement.

· Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and adjust to changing priorities.

· Good problem solving and dispute resolution skills

· Good computer software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
