Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell. You will partner with world class engineering's and leaders to implement product strategies, develop program schedules and milestones, define technology roadmaps, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.
As a Senior Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will combine technical expertise, strategic planning, and operational management to ensure efficient and effective project execution. You will contribute to the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering department by ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects in line with the organization's objectives.
You will report directly to the Director R&D Program Management and you'll work out of Des Plaines, IL location on a hybrid work schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop a project plan, define scope, goals, and objectives, outline tasks, resources, timelines, and deliverables.
• Estimate costs, track spending, and ensure the project stays within budget constraints.
• Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders, summarizing project progress, risks, and issues.

The annual base salary range for this position is $122,000-$152,000. Please note that this
salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various
factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and
responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education
and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering or project mgmt roles
• Proven track record in guiding and managing engineering teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Proven experience in driving operational efficiency, process improvement, and resource optimization within an engineering environment.
