Sr Procurement Buyer

As a Sr. Procurement Buyer here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for managing and executing the organization's procurement and purchasing activities at a strategic level. This position plays a pivotal part in ensuring efficient procurement processes, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function. You will oversee complex procurement projects, manage a team of procurement professionals, and work with various stakeholders to achieve unbiased procurement.
You will report directly to our Procurement Buying Manager, and you will work out of our Aguadilla location.
In this role, you are essential in optimizing procurement practices, enhancing profitability, and securing a reliable and agile supply chain, making your expertise an indispensable asset to our organization's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver on customer needs
- Conduct competitive bids
- Identify cost reduction opportunities
- Review and monitor purchase requisitions
- Manage supplier communication
- Understand market trends
- Deal with invoice discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with strategic procurement
- Be responsible for proper PO placement for the Honeywell
Travel, up to 10%, may be required

YOU MUST HAVE
- 3+ years’ experience purchasing systems
- 3+ years’ experience with SAP
- 3+ years’ experience using Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Ability to read, write and speak English

- Strong communication skills and a team player
- Good organizational skills - ability to prioritize and do problem solving
- Planning, negotiations and agreements/contract management experience
- Good technical knowledge of procurement/sourcing
- Lead-time and negotiation skills
- Detailed knowledge of market trends and supply sources required
