Senior Communications Specialist

As a Senior Communications Specialist here at Honeywell for Process Solutions, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing communication strategies to effectively engage internal stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to create and deliver compelling content that aligns with the company's messaging and brand. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute internal communications.

You will report directly to our Director Communications, HPS and you'll work out of our Houston, TX location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the organization by driving effective communication strategies that enhance the company's reputation and engage employees and internal stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to shape the narrative and ensure consistent messaging across various communication channels.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute communication strategies and plans from inception to measurement reporting
  • Create, deliver, and update engaging content for internal communications channels
  • Identify new tools or expand use of existing tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment in support of the business and function
  • Plan and execute internal events, such as quarterly town halls and employee engagement activities

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 4+ years of experience internal or external communications in a corporate or agency setting
  • Previous experience in large, complex, matrixed organizations
  • Excellent communications skills, including verbal and especially written
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Experience in employee communications and change management
  • Knowledge of digital communication platforms and tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organize and detail-oriented mindset
  • Ability to see the bigger picture and provide strategic counsel
  • Experience leveraging software to create polished and compelling communications
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Teams applications and familiarity with Associated Press Style
  • Proficiency in design software and online tools
