Sr Strategic Sourcing Specialist


As a Sr Strategic Sourcing Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving the procurement strategy and initiatives for the contract logistics category in the APAC region. You will be responsible for developing the sourcing strategy and executing all sourcing activities. Your expertise in strategic sourcing and supply chain management will be instrumental in driving cost savings, improving supplier performance, and ensuring efficient contract logistics operations.

You will report directly to the Director of Strategic Sourcing – Global Warehousing + Distribution. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the financial performance of the business through the delivery of cost savings, working capital improvement, and supplier quality. You will be responsible for developing and executing annual and strategic procurement plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will lead sourcing transition initiatives to optimize the supply base, achieve lowest total cost, and reduce sole/single source risk. Additionally, you will drive improvements in sourcing processes and performance through effective management operating systems.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute annual and strategic procurement plans
• Ensure alignment and lead procurement strategies with business objectives
• Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives related to third party warehouse services
• In collaboration with Logistics Operations, optimize Honeywell’s warehouse network
• Drive supplier negotiation and contract management
• Leverage data to identify savings opportunities and service improvements
• Leverage benchmarking and should cost modeling to guide tactical plans and in supplier negotiations.

• Communicate and report transition progress to senior leadershipYOU MUST HAVE

• 10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing procurement strategies
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
• Knowledge of sourcing processes and tools, such as SAP and e-sourcing platforms
• International experience with exposure to high-growth regions
• Cross-functional experience in engineering/technology, operations, sales/marketing

• Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
• Extensive experience in procurement
• Complex and large project management and/or contract management experience
• Professional certifications in project/supply chain/procurement/contract management
• Demonstrated business and financial acumen
• Experience with SAP, E-Sourcing Platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management Tools
• Experience with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies
