Use your extensive subject matter expertise to influence customers toward Honeywell solutions. You will provide both external and internal consultations, and will help Honeywell teams develop and maintain the right product messaging, customer support, and training. You will foster cross-functional alignment to customer needs. You will participate in pursuit strategy planning, and customer negotiations. You may consult prospective users on product capability. You may provide valuable input for product development.
In this role, you will shape our technology landscape, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with our strategic objectives and industry best practices. Your contributions will be instrumental in driving innovation, addressing complex challenges, and maintaining the scalability, security, and compliance of our technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate, cost-effective design
- Offering of options that could potentially provide flexibility and up-sell
- Respond timely and accurately to all technical request related to product reliability, design requests, approvals, service, and repairs etc.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of the entire fire product range
- Produce yearly training calendar approved by Sales Director
- Quality of training (attendee feedback)
- Project won where technical support has been provided
- Quantity and revenue value of design proposals tracked through JIRA
- Gain local approvals when necessary
MUST HAVE:
- Technical education with preference to an Engineering degree. Fire engineering background highly desirable
- Fire industry experience – Broad understanding of the product technologies and the environments that make up the fire industry
- ‘Hands on’ engineering background with a minimum of 5 years experience technically supporting high technology fire products, especially on Aspirating Smoke Detection
- Demonstrated experience in the sales and market development of high technology industrial products to industrial markets
- Technical support background (over the phone, email or face to face) to a diverse range of customers. Consultative selling skills in a technical market
