Job Description: Software Tester (4-6 Years Experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Software Tester with 4 to 6 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software Automation and testing skills He/She will be responsible for building automation scripts, automation frame work for Software products.

Programming skills

Python with Selenium or Java with Selenium or any other automation tool for automating Web applications and windows applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Planning and Design: Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications.

2. Automated Testing: Develop and execute automated test scripts using testing tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

3. Manual Testing: Perform manual testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure that the software meets the specified requirements.

4. Front-End and Back-End Testing: Conduct thorough testing of both front-end and back-end components to ensure comprehensive coverage and quality.

5. API Testing: Perform backend testing, including API testing using tools such as Postman and other relevant tools.

6. Defect Tracking and Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects using defect tracking tools such as JIRA. Update test results and defect statuses in JIRA. Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues.

7. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.

8. Performance Testing: Perform performance and load testing to ensure that the software can handle expected user loads and meets performance criteria.

9. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools.

Qualifications:

- Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Preferred Qualifications ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus

- Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.

- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC).

- Basic understanding of Java, Python, or C#, and proficiency in automating tests for web-based and desktop applications using Python and Selenium

- Ability to perform backend testing, including API testing using tools such as Postman and other relevant tools.

- Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, or similar.

- Experience in testing both front-end and back-end components of software applications.

- Agile Methodologies, Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Experience in automating software application related to embedded products like controller will be an added advantage

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly document and communicate test results and defects.

- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
