As a Software Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for developing and maintaining software applications for our Aerospace Technologies (AERO) business unit. You will work on a variety of projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Your role will involve designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications, as well as participating in code reviews and providing technical facilitation.You will report directly to our Software Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge software solutions that contribute to the success of our Aerospace Technologies business. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that drive efficiency, safety, and productivity in the aerospace industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, test, and debug software applications
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards
• Provide technical facilitation and troubleshooting for software applications

• 2+ years of work experience in embedded software development using C/C++
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies
• Knowledge of software testing and quality assurance processes
WE VALUE
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience in the development of software per DO-178
• Familiarity with Real-time embedded software design and development
• Experience with OpenGL
• Prior experience in the development of software graphic drivers
• Prior experience with memory management and latency management
• Understanding of various software development lifecycles
• Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
• Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
• Self-motivated individuals who can work with little supervision and consistently take the initiative to get things done
• Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
• Quick analysis, incorporation, and application of new information and concepts
