We are looking for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join us in our Prague Offices reporting to the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager.

You will be Leading the NPI sourcing project implementation projects for assigned business units and regions. Accountable for the sourcing NPI and project plan for assigned project(s). Acts as the focal point in sourcing to communicate the preferred supplier capabilities to the design teams and program managers. Works closely with the COE Category Manager to align activities to the commodity specific strategic strategy. Implements Supply Chain Management strategy to drive commercial leverage, achieve lowest total costs, ensure effective asset management, continuously improve quality, delivery, and cycle time performance, and ensure supplier involvement in product development. Develops and drives the NPI Sourcing project plan for assigned projects.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Develop and deliver sourcing supplier plan for all NPI projects assigned, identifying and contracting with prospective and incumbent suppliers for 100% BOM items, ensuring key project milestones are documented and met.
  • Execute source selection for NPI projects in conjunction with COE commodity strategy to drive right cost day one, increase commercial leverage, and drive significant NPI cost avoidance.
  • Complete risk assessment and create proactive action plans for all key milestone miss or potential failure modes in the project.
  • Complete all aspects of NPI sourcing process from bid to award including utilization of e-auction, meeting 3 bid policy, PPL, PSL, PRL goals.
  • Develop integration plan with all key deliverables for key stakeholders to ensure smooth transition of NPI into factory or EMS after award.
  • Complete Design for Manufacturability, new supplier reviews, and PPAP with Supplier Quality and Engineering.
  • Setup flexible supply chain for <5 day LT and automate PO/forecast communication.
  • Execute source selection and initial orders per project to ensure on-time competitive source selection and align delivery needs to minimize risk for project.
  • Work with the factory team for a smooth transition to manage the production process

Contract Management:

  • Develop RFQ process that includes lifecycle and inventory management.
  • Complete non-disclosure agreement if needed.
  • Complete Multiyear strategic supplier contracts incorporating Year over year productivity commitment, VMI commitment, drive to 90% contract compliance for new awards.

Technical Needs:

  • Maintain continuous in-depth knowledge of Electronic market conditions, industry trends, and developing technologies and bring industry knowledge to NPI process for respective commodities for success of projects.
  • Align with customer needs from VOC for selling product – human factors.
  • Work with the commodity specific Category Manager to locate prospective new suppliers as necessary to meet unique needs not covered by PSL.
  • Communicate all requirements to suppliers and solicit feedback throughout RFP, VE and NPI process.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and involve the commodity specific Supplier Engineer for critical components and coordinate.
  • Design for Manufacturability (DFM).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in any relevant discipline, preferably a MBA in Business or Engineering related field and 5-7 years Supply Chain Management / Manufacturing experience required.
  • 5+ years Supply Chain experience.
  • 3+ years Project Management Experience.

Additional Qualifications:

  • A clear communicator with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong electronic Engineering background.
  • Experience with new product aligning customer needs with the supply base.
