Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Embedded Engineer to join our team, having strong knowledge in Battery energy storage systems & Renewable energy. As a part of this function, the R&D Technology and Execution team designs, develops, and maintains software products and solutions, including the underlying systems and architecture. Responsible for delivering world-class products and solutions using established standards and processes in collaboration with other R&D functions and IT operations to provide continuous integration and delivery of cloud-enabled products and solutions. We are looking for a strong technical candidate who has hands-on experience with development, test design, automation, performance for Industrial Automation, Battery energy storage & renewable energy systems skills & working with a broad range of teams and stakeholders for the System Testing roadmap of our Battery energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

· Candidate should bring forward product innovations, ideas, Proof of Concepts, and product enhancements that add business value.

· Create product performance standards, test plans, and test cases, and develop test environments to ensure product software meets industry and internal specifications.

· Collaborate with the QA Manager, Product Owner, Stakeholders, and the Scrum Team to understand test requirements for the Battery energy storage system and define and implement the best suitable test automation.

· Design and develop a reusable architecture for test automation and execute test cases and scripts through analysis of product specifications and software requirements.

· Build test automation frameworks that are easy to develop scripts, robust, support a variety of reporting, and easy to troubleshoot failures.

· Participate in Scrum meetings with other team members including sprint planning and estimating; backlog refinement; daily Scrum meetings; sprint retrospectives and sprint reviews.

· Drive improvement on functionality, usability, testability, performance, and production stability of the applications and systems

· Communicate effectively across multiple teams, stakeholders, and customers.

· Continually develop and improve system test processes, adding value through optimization, & automation.

· Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing of Battery energy storage system with Remote telemetry unit (RTU), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

· Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing of Battery energy storage sub-systems like Battery management system (BMS) , Power conversion system (PCS), HVAC, Fire & Panel, etc.

· Candidate will be responsible for the overall System-level Test Coverage and reduction in post-release defects to the Customer/End User.

· Candidate will be responsible for On-time delivery of project/group objectives and influence project-level productivity.

· Prepare detailed test reports outlining test results, defects identified, and overall system performance.

· Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide insights into the testing process and outcomes.

· Compliance with Honeywell policies, procedures, and HS&E requirements as applicable.

Qualification:

· B.Tecch/M. Tech – Instrumentation and Control / Electrical / Electronic or Equivalent.

· 10 to 15 years of experience.

You Must Have:

· Technical/Engineering education background in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics & communication (BE or ME degree is preferred).

· Candidate should have at least 8 to 12 years of relevant industry experience in testing for Battery storage sub-systems like Battery management systems, Power conversion systems, HVAC, Fire panels, etc.

· Candidate should have a strong understanding of Process control and automation, its applications in various Projects.

· Strong knowledge of Control systems, industrial automation, RTU, PLC, and SCADA systems.

· Candidate should have hands-on experience in PLC programming using ladder programming, FBD, Structured Text, SFC, and other languages described in the IEC61131-3 standard.

· Strong in Industrial communication protocols like Modbus Serial, Modbus TCP, DNP3, MQTT, OPC UA.

· Knowledge of Alarms, Trends, History, Reports, and basic networking will be an added advantage.

· Should have very good Logical reasoning and Analytical skills.

· Excellent analytical skills, open, proactive, results-oriented, self-organized, and self-motivated.

· Positive approach to problem-solving with a can-do attitude.

Nice if we have:

· Candidate should also have experience working in Process Industrial Control preferably Honeywell Experion DCS, Honeywell TDC, and SCADA solutions.

· Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or Test Life Cycle.

· candidate having good working experience in test automation tools like Python, Selenium, etc

· Exposure to Test and Requirement Management Tools such as JIRA, Quality Center, and Jama would be an advantage.

· Experience with testing tools and frameworks, as well as test automation.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills.
