Regional Distribution Manager (RDM) - Sensing and Safety Technologies (SST)

The Regional Distribution Manager (RDM) is a key role within Honeywell Sensing and Safety Technologies that provides support and management of assigned authorized distributor (AD) relationships, resulting in mutually profitable growth. The RDM drives their ADs to deploy a significant share of resources in support of the sale of Honeywell products while working with them to improve their business processes, overall effectiveness, planning and results.

The RDM works closely with cross functional team members to create new business opportunities. You will support AD team members in sales visits and opportunity management. You will be adept at driving action with quarterly performance reviews (QPR) and metrics. You will demonstrate the ability to steer distribution channel to actions that will result in meeting Honeywell expectations. This position requires a highly motivated, self-confident individual of the highest integrity who possesses a wide range of knowledge, skills and abilities.

The RDM is expected to utilize Honeywell processes to drive the AD HQ and regional AD branches to deliver the results within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet/exceed revenue Point of Purchase (POP) and Point of Sale (POS) plan for assigned ADs
  • Provide support and direction to support AD HQ/branch revenue plan within assigned territory, including development and enforcement of strategies to close gaps at strategic branches
  • Develop a Mutual Action Plan (MAP) with the National Distribution Managers to document annual AD objectives, AD NBO’s and regularly review progress against agreed goals
  • Proactively work on lead generation for all ASEAN countries for new business development
  • Support the key AD branch relationships
  • Facilitate major market and/or strategic AD locations business reviews
  • Implement and support AD promotions
  • Work issue resolution process and provide escalation path as necessary for various topics including pricing, delivery, agreement and etc
  • Monitor and ensure product training and systems with AD personnel
  • Analyze and ensure proper inventory mix and levels needed to support POS plan
  • Coordinate new product introduction
  • Establish annual co-op marketing plan
  • Support list price and market price program
  • Coordinate volume share agreements where business dictates
  • Oversee ship and debit and price protection activities and ensure integrity in the process with ADs
  • Monitor ADs order management practices and Honeywell service levels taking corrective action to maximize operational efficiency
  • Keep evolving AD direction/strategy by aligning with the Manager, APACI Channel manager (NDM) and Sales Excellence and regularly report progress of AD business and lead generation activities to the Manager

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • More than 5 years of relevant working experience in the connector business

  • Significant experience in Sales/Account Management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience handling products such as Sensor, Switches, and Components, targeting Healthcare, Industrial Manufacturing & Transportation, and Electrification verticals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at varying levels across the organization.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a highly matrixed environment.
