Job Description:

At Flexera, Spot optimizes cloud infrastructure to be highly available at the lowest possible cost—revolutionizing the way businesses manage their cloud.

We are looking for a passionate and hands‑on Software Engineer – Automation to join our engineering team and contribute to the quality and reliability of our cloud‑native services. In this role, you will work on the development and execution of automated tests across UI, API, and backend workflows using modern frameworks and CI/CD tooling. You will also support maintaining our automation infrastructure and help embed quality into the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain manual and automated tests for UI (Selenium/Cypress/Playwright/MCP) and API services(pytest)

  • ⁠Support manual functional testing for new features, bug fixes, and regression scenarios

  • Contribute to manual and automation testing including building infrastructure, reusable utilities, and internal frameworks

  • Collaborate with development teams to understand features, edge cases, and validation needs

  • Participate in defining test strategies and identifying high‑value manual and automation scenarios

  • Execute automated and manual test suites across environments (Dev/QA/Prod)

  • Analyse failures, identify patterns, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues

  • Support integration of automation into Jenkins pipelines and cloud‑based build systems

  • Explore and adopt modern approaches in AI‑assisted automation / Agentic AI workflows

  • Maintain test data, environment configurations, and documentation for test suites

  • Work effectively with both onsite and offshore teams in overlapping time zones

Mandatory

  • Experience with Manual Testing and Test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar

  • Good hands-on of UI & API - manual and automation testing principles

  • Working experience with REST API validation (Postman, Python requests, Pytest or equivalent)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD environments, preferably Jenkins

  • Good understanding of cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Knowledge of Cloud and Kubernetes concepts

  • Ability to write clean, maintainable test code in Python, JavaScript, or equivalent

  • Experience testing SaaS applications

  • ⁠Ability to collaborate across geographies and time zones

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI‑driven automation, prompt-driven validation or agent-based workflows

  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure or K8s‑based applications

  • Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible)

  • Knowledge of observability/performance tools (Prometheus, Grafana, JMeter)

  • Understanding of Git workflows and Agile development practices
