As Senior Director, FinOps , you will own the product strategy, portfolio leadership, and execution for Flexera’s rapidly expanding FinOps and Cloud Financial Management (CFM) solutions. You will define and communicate a compelling longterm vision for how enterprises and service providers optimize cloud, SaaS, and softwaredriven technology spend , and lead teams in executing against that vision at scale.
This role is accountable for ensuring Flexera continues to deliver the most comprehensive FinOps platform in the market , spanning multicloud cost visibility, optimisation, commitment management, automation, and emerging areas such as FinOps for AI and data platforms. You will work crossfunctionally with engineering, product marketing, sales, finance to ensure strong business outcomes, customer value, and market leadership.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Market & Customer Leadership
Develop a deep understanding of Flexera’s FinOps business, customers, and buyer personas (FinOps, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, MSPs), as well as evolving market trends and the competitive landscape. Clearly articulate Flexera’s differentiated value across the FinOps lifecycle (inform, optimize, operate).
Portfolio Vision & Strategy
Set and continuously refine the longterm vision and strategy for the FinOps product portfolio, balancing innovation, platform cohesion, and commercial outcomes to maintain category leadership.
People & Organizational Leadership
Define clear team and individuallevel roles, expectations, and success measures. Hire, develop, and retain top product talent, fostering strong performance, accountability, and career progression across senior product leaders and managers.
Roadmap Ownership & Investment Decisions
Own the endtoend product roadmap, including build / buy / partner decisions, ensuring alignment with Flexera’s broader platform strategy and business objectives.
Engineering Partnership & Delivery Excellence
Partner with engineering leadership to continuously improve the SDLC, emphasizing agile product discovery, iterative delivery, automation, and scalable cloudnative architectures.
CrossFunctional Influence
Lead and influence across Flexera’s business units with a collaborative, customercentric mindset, aligning product, sales, marketing, finance, and services around shared outcomes.
Customer & Ecosystem Engagement
Engage directly with customers, prospects, analysts, and partners to inform product strategy, validate roadmap priorities, and support strategic growth opportunities.
Outcome Measurement & Value Realization
Define and track success metrics across financial performance, delivery milestones, customer adoption, and realized savings/value, ensuring strong ROI for both customers and Flexera.
