Role Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineer to help evolve and harden our enterprise data platform. This role focuses on improving security, stability, performance, and testability across a large, data-intensive system used by enterprise customers.

You will work on production code and automation, contributing to a platform that ingests, processes, and serves data at scale. This is not a senior role—you’ll be supported by experienced engineers—but you are expected to be curious, accountable, and eager to grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to product improvements across security, reliability, and performance for a complex enterprise application

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for existing and newly developed functionality

  • Work across .NET, Java, and SQL components in a multi-service, multi-language platform

  • Participate in design discussions and code reviews, applying established design patterns and coding standards

  • Help improve CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests and quality gates

  • Investigate and resolve defects across application, data, and integration layers

  • Collaborate closely with engineers, QA, and product stakeholders to deliver predictable, high-quality outcomes

Required Technical Skills

  • 2–4 years of professional experience in software development

  • Hands-on experience with .NET and/or Java, plus solid SQL skills

  • Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, including automation concepts

  • Experience writing or maintaining automated tests (unit, integration, or functional)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated build/test workflows

  • Ability to reason about data-driven systems (schemas, transformations, data quality)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with enterprise or data-centric platforms

  • Exposure to test automation frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit, JUnit, SpecFlow, etc.)

  • Familiarity with performance, scalability, or security considerations in backend systems

  • Experience working in a mixed-technology stack (Windows/Linux, multiple languages)

What We’re Looking For (Personal Qualities)

  • Passion for learning, improving systems, and delivering quality software

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and persistence when tackling complex issues

  • Comfortable asking questions and challenging assumptions respectfully

  • Willingness to step up when the team is under pressure, without hero culture

  • Clear communicator who works well across engineering and non-engineering roles

  • Takes pride in ownership while valuing collaboration and feedback
