Job Summary
We are looking for new colleague in our team in Budapest for the following position: Materials Planning Expert
Job summary:
Responsible for developing, directing and coordinating material planning activities. Enhance customer service levels possible by balancing supply and demand.
What a typical day looks like:
Directs activities of Planners to ensure that inventory level and turn goals are achieved, including reduction of E&O and enhancing customer service.
Meets with Senior Management to obtain strategic information that could impact the forecast. Works with team to modify the forecast for historical and environmental events. Works closely with different departments to accurately develop and maintain an accurate forecast.
Hold cross-functional meetings to review the Supply and Demand plan
Review issues and make recommendations that deal with long-term constraints, customer service levels, inventory targets, the current forecast, and E&O.
Provide technical &/or project leadership for mid to large-scale supply chain/planning projects.
Plan, prioritize, and manage supply chain support and maintenance activities to ensure that organization’s material flow & planning systems function reliably and that supply chain resources are used effectively.
Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of information systems professionals planners and support staff to ensure that the Material organization’s systems are supported effectively
Research, evaluate, and recommend planning\visualization tools that will enhance the capabilities of the organization’s Material information systems. (Baan \ Xelus \ Tableau \ Pulse \ Kinaxis, etc)
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in the area of planning and procurement solutions
Training of site planning & procurement resources
The experience we are looking to add to the team:
Bachelor degree
At least 3 years' experience in one or more disciplines of supply chain management - Planning is the most important
Excellent written and verbal English & Hungarian communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word) and experienced in using database
Demonstrate knowledge of MPS (Master Production Scheduling) and MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) systems and processes
