Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Quality Technician- Nights located in Austin, TX.

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Technician’s role involves auditing processes, testing and inspecting products and/or developing, compiling and evaluating statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

H Shift: 6p-6a (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday) and includes a 20% shift differential.

What a typical day looks like:

• Working from engineering specifications.
• Selects processes to be audited from primarily the manufacturing areas and checks for a variety of features, including ESD (electro-static discharge) and handling practices, documentation, training and process integrity.
• Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
• Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards, programs or reports to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
• Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.
• Download quality information from quality system to be used for QA reports.
• Other duties as assigned to support material movement, MRB activities and in process audits.
• Line clearance activities, machine set up, in process inspection, final release.
• Complies with GDP (good documentation practices) and excellent communication skills.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, technical training, or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires a minimum of 2-3 years of related experience
• Highly regulated manufacturing environment experience (medical, pharmaceutical, food industry)
• Basic understanding of typical quality tools, such as 8d, statistical process control, FMEA and control plans.
