How you’ll make an impact

Leverage your expertise in credit analysis and lending practices to support thorough, objective loan reviews that help manage risk and ensure sound decision-making. As a Loan Review Analyst, you’ll conduct detailed file and loan assessments to ensure consistency with established policies, procedures, and risk guidelines. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will enable you to evaluate the accuracy and integrity of information, identify opportunities for improvement, and help strengthen lending practices.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct file reviews and loan assessments to evaluate credit risk and adherence to policies

  • Assess the quality, accuracy and integrity of information to support sound credit decision-making

  • Develop conclusions and recommendations and share findings with senior leaders

  • Identify opportunities to enhance credit policy guidelines and processes

  • Collaborate with business units such as Credit Risk Management, Credit Policy, Portfolio Management and Operations

  • Respond to inquiries and provide information related to loan review activities


What you’ll bring to the team

Required qualifications

  • Degree in agricultural finance, business, commerce or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of lending experience, including small commercial lending or equivalent

  • Knowledge of agricultural and commercial lending practices and risk mitigation strategies

  • Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive and confidential information

  • Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a changing environment

  • Working knowledge of software applications and computer proficiency

  • Intermediate/Advanced proficiency in both official languages (English and French) needed

Preferred qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of lending guidelines, credit policies, products and programs is an asset
