This role is accountable for the development of FCC’s technical solutions including the design, development, testing and deployment of code, and interpretation of business requirements.
The Senior Developer is responsible for delivering a high level of informal leadership while developing the most complex and strategic components of a solution.

Additional Job Description

What you’ll do:

  • Participate in a solution’s architectural direction and be responsible for solution implementation
  • Analyze and develop new code, including automation, integration and unit tests
  • Participate in the design and development of models and analytics
  • Implement code fixes and support user testing
  • Actively contribute to code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members
  • Ensure technical solutions and system integrations are developed and maintained in the most efficient and effective manner
  • Ensure technical solutions are understood by, and meet the requirements of, the end user
  • Respond to support requests including role-based access requests, monitoring and troubleshooting ecosystem issues, and providing technical support to users
  • Lead deployment processes in all environments

What you’ll need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering and at least six years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Expert-level proficiency in some of the following: databases, business intelligence, data warehouses, large language models, database migration tools, data quality, data catalogs and metadata management
  • Proven knowledge of common design patterns and when to apply them
  • Expertise in using smart, clean and maintainable code
  • Experience optimizing design to create business value through analytics
  • A consistent customer focus, ensuring solutions meet the requirements of end users
