Reporting directly to the Vice President, Internal Audit, you’ll assist in the development and execution of FCC’s Internal Audit strategy. This includes the responsibility to oversee:
- the identification and completion of priority audit projects selected using a risk-based approach
- processes that ensure compliance to the requirements of the International Internal Auditing standards
- reporting to Board- and Executive-level committees
- learning priorities to ensure internal audit practices and skills of the team keep pace with or exceed industry standards
- maintenance of the internal and external relationship management strategy
- capacity planning, performance objectives, recruiting and budgeting

What you’ll do:

  • Create and monitor work plans
  • Identify and assess risk related to each audit entity
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop scope and objectives for engagements
  • Help develop complex findings, conclusions and recommendations
  • Maintain key strategic relationships including Audit Committee, Executive and Senior Leaders, Enterprise Risk and Office of the Auditor General
  • Assist with strategic planning for the division
  • Coach and mentor the team on setting performance objectives and development planning
  • Research and recommend process improvements
  • Perform budget, training, communication and recruitment duties
