Lead a team of high-performing communications professionals who provide advice and support on strategic external communications, media relations, and crisis, issue and reputation management across the organization.

This position is designated bilingual. We encourage all candidates to submit their application, regardless of whether they believe they meet the linguistic requirements of the position. Qualified candidates will complete a language evaluation in their second official language.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee external communication strategies, channels and deliverables

• Recommend appropriate communication and content management tools

• Approve content structure and presentation

• Partner with the Change Management team

• Foster strong relationships with internal partners and provide seasoned support to internal stakeholders

• Manage staffing requirements to develop a dynamic team that can handle a variety of situations

• Mentor the team in development planning, workload management, and setting and achieving performance objectives

What we’re looking for:

• Strong communicator able to develop/write and edit various forms of content, manage multiple files at the same time and work under pressure

• Proven experience in building innovative presentations (content and visuals) for different target audiences (PowerPoint, Prezi, Canva)

• Relationship-builder and negotiator

• Analytical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving, organizational and collaboration skills

• Proven leader who can develop successful teams

What you’ll need:

• A bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, political sciences or English and at least six years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)

• In-depth knowledge of communication content tools, technology and principles

• Expertise in strategy development
