Job Role Description

The Product Management Specialist - Advanced contributes to shaping product direction by managing the backlog, gathering stakeholder input, and helping define the scope and value of work. This role partners closely with product leaders, SMEs, and architecture teams to ensure demand is aligned to business goals and technical standards. The Advanced Specialist begins to balance competing priorities, make informed recommendations, and influence product outcomes while operating with increasing autonomy.

Job Role Responsibilities

- Build and manage the delivery team's backlog and confirm deliverables with stakeholders
- Ensure features and user stories deliver expected business value and results
- Work with system and solution architects, product managers, and project managers (where applicable) to ensure features and use stories are understood and prioritized within the product backlog to support value delivery
- Ensures a healthy backlog of product requests such that delivery team(s) consistently focus on high-value tasks, maximizing their effectiveness and productivity
- Understands customer needs, defines economic rational and path to value, and continually validates value delivery and usage
- Spends time with stakeholders to understand the business line strategy, business objectives, and is able to triage new opportunities
- Maintain advanced business acumen and process knowledge to effectively represent and advocate the product for / with business stakeholders
