Job Role Description

1. Fully compliance with all company policies, including safety, control, data integrity, etc.
2. Responsible for sample management, preparation, testing and experimentation, ensure data accuracy and traceability, appropriate and complex data analysis and interpretation such as SEM, FTIR, GC. (For Specialized Testing, Responsible for developing optimal test slate to analyze the lubricants’ performance to assist field engineer to conduct troubleshooting based on application.)
3. Close collaboration with application development engineers and research scientists to deliver goals; proactively participate in technical projects.
4. Modify or develop method to target analysis. Analyze samples with developed (non-routine) method.
5. Be aware of the most advanced techniques and establish new capabilities if necessary.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

1. Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in polymer science, materials science, chemistry, or chemical engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
2. Familiar with the molding processes of thermosetting resins and composite materials. / Or familiar with analytical techniques, such as FTIR, GC/LC, MS…
3. At least 2 years of hands-on experience in composite molding processes (e.g., polydicyclopentadiene, epoxy resins, polyurethane, unsaturated resins). / Or experiences related to lubricants or troubleshooting by utilizing analytical tests or molecular characterization, or failure analysis of equipment parts are preferred. / Or experience in carbon, battery industry
4. Passionate, team-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated. Good communication skills.
5. Patient, highly adaptable, with strong willingness and ability to learn.
6. Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
7. Able to read and write reports in English and communicate orally in English.
