What role you will play in our team

The Voyage Optimizer will be responsible for coordinating and implementing safe, efficient, and cost-effective dispatch and voyage operations of ExxonMobil affiliate owned and chartered vessels that transport the company's cargoes domestically and/or worldwide. Further, it will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling terminal / refinery inventory, along with lifting and delivery schedules for crude and petroleum products.

What you will do

  • Coordinate and implement safe and efficient bulk liquid marine logistics to maximize ExxonMobil’s commercial advantage worldwide.
  • Ensure compliance with ExxonMobil corporate policies, industry standards, and government regulations.
  • Oversee global portfolio of marine tonnage under various charter agreement and seek opportunities to maximize value through bulk marine logistics optimization to avoid Value Chain and Trading disoptimization.
  • Provide commercial expertise, influence Value Chain / Trading decisions, and ensure the end-to-end process is effectively managed including demurrage and oil loss implications.
  • Maximize contractual and financial performance of commercial agreements to include working closely with commodity and freight traders.
  • Issue voyage orders and letters of indemnity as necessary.
  • Enter voyage information into order fulfillment / accounting program (Veson) and maintain accurate information to ensure freight and other voyage related charges are accurately administered.
  • Accountable to monitor contract performance against KPI, work with freight traders and vessels owners on gap closure.
  • Ensure all marine equipment is properly vetted prior to use, initiate incident reporting notification as needed, and act as liaison with Marine Quality Assurance team to facilitate closure of gaps.
  • Primary contact of accurate voyage related information and resolution of marine issues to create a seamless supply chain experience for customers.
  • Provide timely and accurate schedules and voyage-related information to stakeholders.

About You

  • Knowledge of Maritime Industry
  • Knowledge of supply operations, marine chartering, scheduling, and dispatch process
  • Knowledge of transaction accounting and commercial contracts
  • Familiarity with hydrocarbon logistics
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills ability to influence others without authority
  • Sense of ownership and commitment to general interest and high standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and work outside of work schedule to resolve operational issues
