What you will do
- Carry out OpenStack cloud administration: performance tuning, troubleshooting, resource optimisation, availability zone configuration, tenant management, and host aggregation.
- Install, configure, monitor, and optimise Linux systems (physical and virtual), including kernel tuning, LVM management, and implementing advanced security measures.
- Manage and maintain RHEL, Ubuntu, and CentOS operating systems with smooth upgrade processes.
- Configure and troubleshoot networking protocols and services such as TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, VXLAN, routing, DNS, DHCP, bridging, and IP Tables.
- Operate hardware management interfaces like iLO, iDRAC, and CIMC efficiently.
- Perform CEPH storage management tasks including OSD operations and cluster flag adjustments.
- Leverage automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform) for provisioning and configuration management.
- Develop automation scripts using Bash and Python to enhance operational quality.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, ITSM guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Work closely with stakeholders to deliver tailored cloud solutions and maintain positive client relationships.
You will bring
- At least 4–5 years of professional experience with private cloud technologies, especially OpenStack and Linux administration.
- Red Hat OpenStack certification along with RHCSA and RHCE.
- Strong Linux administration expertise including OS optimisation and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in automation scripting (Bash, Python) and configuration management tools.
- Working knowledge of SDN, NFV concepts, and microservices/container orchestration platforms.
- Advanced networking knowledge covering configuration, troubleshooting, and optimisation.
- Hardware interface management experience across enterprise systems.
- CEPH storage operational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, fostering strong customer engagement.
- Problem-solving acumen, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit.
