About this opportunity:
We are now looking for an Automated Operations Engineer, responsible for the coordination, management and execution of proactive and reactive maintenance activities. This shall ensure that the services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels.
What you will do:
Proactively monitor the performance, status, and health of systems to detect and address possible failures, ensuring timely restoration and recovery.
Perform daily preventive checks on BSS/OSS, Cloud, and infrastructure systems.
Monitor and analyze processes, flows, and alarms, ensuring proper escalation and communication with stakeholders.
Manage incidents throughout their lifecycle, including detection, escalation, resolution, and confirmation of closure within SLA timelines.
Handle and track tickets, ensuring timely updates, escalation when required, and chasing unresolved issues.
Respond to and resolve claims and issues received via email, maintaining clear and constructive communication.
Support change management activities, including planned works, system upgrades, and installations.
Ensure effective shift handovers with complete transfer of all incident and task information.
Create, review, and maintain operational documentation and reports.
Collaborate with other technical teams and customer staff to resolve events/incidents promptly.
Complete required training, track time and activities, and continually improve domain knowledge.
The skills you bring:
Technical university degree (IT, Telecom)
• Unix/Linux OS basic command line experience - entry level
• Shell (sh) scripting experience or other scripting languages - entry level
• SQL basic commands
• Work experience with similar BSS/OSS/ Cloud/ Infra systems is a plus
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Other competences: communication skills, attention to details, problem solving attitude, ability to work in a dynamic environment
