Our Exciting Opportunity
We are looking for a Mechanical Hardware Top to support in the creation of leading-edge mechanical solutions for 5G Wireless Networks Products. Your role will include development activities such as requirement analysis, schedule development (for inclusion into the wider project plan), resource management, risk analysis, task development, assembly integration, verification, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation.
The HW Top is the primary interface into all elements of product development and should have very strong communication skills.
The role will work closely with the Mechanical Team in Kista, Sweden. Travel to global suppliers and Ericsson sites is part of the job.
What you will do:
- Be the object’s representative towards project and line as well as the information carrier to the team.
- Responsible for the release and delivery of product/component according to process (HWDP) and aligned in time with overall project.
- Provide the team with detailed and overall task and time planning, including priority management.
- Monitor and remove project related impediments, escalate if needed, and support in continuous process refinements.
- Coach the team to work with retrospectives and lessons learned activities.
- Coach the team to identify project and product risks and plan actions to mitigate.
What you will bring:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree - Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of proven experience.
- Mechanical Design for Outdoor Plant Equipment experience.
- Product development knowledge and Product Lifecycle Management knowledge.
- Working with people and networking.
- Innovating, adapting and responding to change.
- Delivering results and meeting customer expectations.
- Planning and organizing.
Additional Requirements:
- PTC Windchill/CREO3/CREO4.
- Design Experience - Die Casting, Injection Molding, Sheet Metal, Design for Outdoor Environments.
- Design of Wireless Networks Infrastructure.
- Mechanical Product Introduction and Volume Ramp, Quality Engineering and Qualification.
- Travel to Ericsson Factories and Suppliers may be required in future.

The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee’s contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee’s contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term disability coverage. Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, 3-5 personal days (depending on role), 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
