About the role


Radio Design is responsible for research, development, and maintenance of Radio Unit in Ericsson Radio Base Station products. One of our major challenges is to develop and deliver high volumes Radio Hardware in short timeframes. To achieve this goal, we brought together a Team of acknowledged experts in different competence areas and we use the latest design and simulation tools. We consistently keep track of new Technology, methodology and design techniques, ensuring that Radio Filter and Antenna design activities hold a competitive level.


We are now looking for an Experiended Developer with a deep interest in Radio and Filter design. By joining our Team, an important part of your role will consist of developing Filter products, technical solutions and components. On a daily basis, you will be involved in various development activities like requirement analysis and definition, design, integration, verification and product documentation.


Last but not least, a large extent of our work is performed together with Ericsson’s Teams from all over the World and several external suppliers. In this context, you will interface with Radio design, Antenna design, mechanical design, sourcing, and production, production test and engineering. Co-operation with other design centers in Sweden and all over the World is our day-to-day reality and should represent an additional motivation for you to join our Organization.

What you will do:


As an Experienced Developer, you will be a member of a team that is developing the next generation of Radio Filters. You will participate in Filter & Antenna developments for our own products and solutions. You will perform technical investigations, contribute to the evolution of our product portfolio, participate in pre-development projects as well as in technical studies and follow the developments in 5G and 6G Radio systems.

  • Develop high quality products
  • Simulate and develop new design solutions
  • Review design solutions and work with continuous improvements of products and processes
  • Develop competence in technical domain
  • Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling
  • Work with strategic technical leadership
  • Perform trouble shooting and customer support
  • Perform practical work with prototypes
  • Collaborate with Filter suppliers when applicable
  • Verify high quality products

The skills you bring:

We are looking for a result-oriented filter designer and team worker. You have strong analytical skills and you are a fast learner. You have high interest in the field of filter design and filter system functionalities for cellular radio networks. We find the following important for this position:

  • MSc degree in physics or electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 3-5 years extensive from filter Technology, including design knowledge and fabrication processes
  • Strong knowledge of Radio design
  • Good understanding of cellular radio networks
  • HFSS and (ADS) RF design tools knowledge
  • Good knowledge in Radio/RF/antenna technologies and products
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional and network-oriented organization
  • Innovating, adapting, and responding to change
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Have developed knowledge sharing and collaboration skills
  • Lean & Agile knowledge and skills
