About this opportunity
We are seeking a senior communications leader to shape and deliver a world-class communications strategy for Ericsson’s Business Area Networks (BNEW). As Head of Communications, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for executive communications, media and analyst relations, strategic narrative development, external positioning, and employee communications. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on delivery and requires close collaboration with senior executives and deep sector knowledge of telecom, cloud-native networking and enterprise B2B ecosystems.
What you will do
• Serve as senior communications advisor to the Head of Ericsson Networks and other senior leaders: own key narratives, craft speeches, talking points and briefing materials.
• Coach and prepare executives for public appearances, investor and analyst engagements, and internal AEMs; manage executive visibility across owned, earned and paid channels.
• Define and deploy BNEW’s strategic narrative to position Ericsson Networks as a leader in 5G, 6G, private networks and cloud-native network solutions.
• Translate technical and commercial priorities into clear, audience-specific messages for customers, partners, analysts and regulators.
• Lead media and analyst relations with proactive and reactive strategies; build strong relationships with global and regional reporters and analyst firms; manage crisis and issue communications with speed and accuracy.
• Design and deliver integrated internal communications (AEMs, intranet, leader communications, change comms) to engage and align employees with strategy and product roadmaps.
• Lead, mentor and grow a cross-disciplinary communications team; set objectives, measure impact, manage budget and agency relationships; ensure agile delivery and governance across regions and corporate stakeholders.
You will bring
• 12+ years of progressive communications experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (head of function or similar).
• Proven experience in enterprise B2B, telecoms, technology or adjacent sectors, with demonstrable understanding of network technology, service models and industry dynamics.
• Strong track record in executive communications, reputation management and global media/analyst relations.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and working closely with C-suite stakeholders.
• Exceptional writing, storytelling and messaging skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business narratives.
• Crisis communications experience and the ability to perform confidently under pressure.
• Relevant degree in communications, journalism, business or equivalent experience; strategic communications certifications are a plus.
