About the Opportunity
Power Solutions is responsible for the research, development, and maintenance of power solutions for most of Ericsson’s Radio Product Portfolio. We are part of Ericsson’s global design organization, driving innovation for both current and future mobile networks.
We have two established sections in Lindholmen, and over the past five years, a new Power Design section in Kista has been built. Since this unit is still evolving, you will have a significant opportunity to shape roles, contribute technical expertise and leadership, and influence how we work and improve our products.
Our team utilises the latest design and simulation tools, adheres to cutting-edge technology and methodologies, and maintains best-in-class design practices. With teamwork and a strong learning culture, our people remain the key to our success.
We are now looking for a Power Designer to collaborate with Radio design colleagues in Kista and power design teams in Lindholmen on Radio product development projects.
What will you do:
• Contributing to Power Design tasks such as requirement breakdown, DC/DC converter circuit design, schematic creation, simulations, component selection, troubleshooting, and hands-on lab work (soldering, testing, and verification) to ensure high-quality power solutions.
• Supporting communication between Radio design and Power Design teams, assisting object leaders and engineers in resolving product development issues.
• Collaborating across multiple disciplines to align with product design requirements.
• Staying up to date with industry practices and technical advancements in power design and applying them to product and technology development.
• Actively influencing product development to optimise capabilities, ensuring customer benefits are realised, and sharing insights with colleagues and technology leaders.
• Supporting integration, verification, and troubleshooting of power solutions in Radio products.
• Monitoring and securing customer-perceived quality, both in functionality and hardware robustness.
Skills you bring
• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), with solid knowledge of power electronics, analogue system design, and hardware design applications.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, electronic loads, power supplies, etc.) and practical skills in product design, verification, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in simulation tools (e.g., LTspice, PSpice) and familiarity with scripting tools such as Python, Matlab, or Mathcad.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a proven drive for results and an open-minded, learning-oriented mindset.
• Ability to perform requirement breakdown and technical analysis, contributing effectively to product development.
• Knowledge of radio and or digital design is considered a merit, along with experience in integration and verification.
