The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Production Teams always have the correct skillsets to ensure our client responsibilities can not only be met but be exceeded. They are responsible for ensuring that our teams are always utilized and that there is constant focus on continuous improvement to ensure that the business both meets and exceeds its financial targets.
What you will do:
• The department operates within budget at all times
• All members of the department understand the business priorities and the importance of securing Red Bee Australia’s financial goals
• Ensure that the team’s targets for both productivity and utilization are met on a monthly basis
• Ensure that these team targets are regularly reviewed to drive optimization and that plans to improve both over the year are in place and achieved
• Engage with AS technology to drive operational optimization
• Ensure all that team members have the correct skills to ensure Red Bee fulfils our clients’ contractual requirements and that there is effective monitoring in place
• If necessary skills are not in place, close monitoring ensures this is quickly rectified and remedy plans put in place without delay
• Ensure that any remedial actions after any client incidents are put in place and become part of the team training plans
• Ensure an appropriate PRS system is in place
• Ensure that levels of sickness are accurately recorded and monitored on an individual basis, where problems are identified, these are managed quickly
• Responsible for managing departmental headcount to business targets
• Ensure that there is a continuous improvement plan in operation with agreed targets reviewed monthly (this plan is outside the wider business targets)
• Support new business and RFPs by working with the core delivery teams to model the most optimized operational model which is cost effective and inline with Red Bee’s business goals
• Working with other internal departments to ensure delivery of new business is correctly resourced in the most optimized operational model and clear communications sent to teams

Experience
• Proven passion for service performance
• Proven business and financial acumen skills
• Proven ability to deliver against a complex technical environment
• Proven experience of working within a broadcast environment
• Proven experience in leading and motivating teams through change programmes
Knowledge
• Leadership capabilities to communicate engage and develop teams
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, ability to vocalise the issues and initiatives of the day in a positive manner
• Excellent analytical & problem-solving capability
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated, highly resilient, flexible, and accommodating under pressure.
• Effective planning, organisation, and prioritisation even when faced with multiple demands
• Takes ownership of issues through to resolution
• Consistent track record of meeting objectives and following through on commitments
