Reporting to the Head of People, Market Area Americas and supporting approximately 3,000 employees in the Mexico, Colombia, Central America & Caribbean Ericsson is hiring a Head of People to be the HR leader in the North Latin American region, to be accomplished through close partnership with the units leadership team, developing a deep understanding of the business, and its strategic objectives, and by leveraging the full breadth of the Global HR organization.

In this role, you will:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of People Business Partners, driving a culture of excellence and commitment to exceeding business objectives and delivering exceptional support to the business
- Partner with our Subject Matter Experts on various programs, projects and implementations
- Report to both the Head of People, Americas and dotted line to the Head of Customer Units (CU) LATAM North, and participate in the People and CU Leadership teams
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with key executives, team leaders, and stakeholders to foster partnerships and build client satisfaction
- Lead strategic projects across the market area on a wide range of People Team and cross functional focus areas
To be successful in this role, you have:
- Strong ability to contribute to the business strategy by supporting business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes in a large, complex global company with a matrix reporting environment
- Fluency in Spanish and English with excellent communication skills, enabling clear and effective interaction with diverse teams and stakeholders across the organization
- Expertise to develop the Workforce Strategy in support of the Business Strategy and support line managers in forecasting and planning their talent requirements
- Facilitated long-term initiatives aligned with the business strategic agenda
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cultures and organizations; strategically focused on continuous improvement
- Excellent presentation skills and executive presence; ability to confidently collaborate with all levels of employees including senior leadership
- Working style that is team oriented, flexible, agile, accountable, creative, and compliments a dynamic environment
- Credible track record of building and leading effective, high performance teams and organizations and processes to support the strategic direction of the business and the reputation for getting results from others through empowerment and accountability
- Strong ability to utilize data and analytics and effectively mentor and manage project teams
- Ability to work with and role model the use of generative A.I. agents and solutions enabling greater team effectiveness and time saving
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years’ experience in HR or related field, preferably as a People Business Partner leader in a hi-tech and/or professional services company
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Strong analytical, problem-resolution skills
- Decision making profile with a strategic view to include all necessary information
- Strong knowledge of the local employment laws, skilled in bringing complex employee relations matters to resolution
- Previous experience in adapting business structures and positions to the changing nature of dynamic business cycles
- Proven experience in regional re-organizations that will require financial analysis, talent re-locations, and change management
- Strong experience managing complex labor cases related to ethics and compliance
- Drive highly confidential actions and work closely with peer Heads of People and Executive Leaders
- Ability to set a vision and strategy for delivering effective and meaningful support, thinking systematically to develop solutions to enable business opportunities or solve challenges
- Build processes, platforms, and ways of working that create positive employee experience
- Strong ability to execute seamlessly on multiple priorities with high visibility
- Creative thinker who looks for ways to drive continuous improvement
