What you will do:
As a global company, with operations spanning more than 180 countries, Ericsson is involved in dispute-related matters worldwide. Ericsson’s Global Litigation and Controversies team (a unit within the legal department Group Function Legal Affairs & Compliance) leads, manages and coordinates the Ericsson group’s most significant dispute-related matters. The work is performed on a global basis and in close cooperation with internal stakeholders and outside counsel.
You will:
- Manage and coordinate a diverse worldwide docket of complex litigation and arbitration cases, mainly related to commercial disputes and intellectual property rights.
- Provide internal advice and collaboration as dispute-related matters are developing, assess cases, evaluate potential risk and advise relevant Ericsson personnel on the appropriate course of action.
- Handle internal administration related to dispute resolution activities, such as developing and improving internal policies, templates and other supporting materials and providing training for Ericsson staff.
- Manage domestic and foreign outside counsel.
The skills you bring:
- Master of Law degree (or law qualification of equivalent standing), preferably from a Swedish university
- 6-10 years work experience as a dispute resolution lawyer, preferably with a mix of law firm, in-house and court experience
- Significant experience in managing international arbitrations, civil litigation and/or administrative proceedings, preferably in an international commercial context
- Strong analytical and strategic risk-mitigation mindset
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- The ability to work independently and lead multiple tasks and activities, while also embracing a team player approach to work – initiating and driving positive change
- Knowledge or experience of intellectual property rights law (particularly patent law) is desirable
