What you will do:

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

As the IT SOX Internal Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) within the IT environment. This role ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, facilitates audits, and partners with IT and business stakeholders to strengthen the IT control environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing ITGCs, application controls, and automated controls, and can lead remediation, testing, and compliance efforts across multiple systems and platforms.


What Will You Do?

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT SOX Control Design & Maintenance
  • Develop, implement, and maintain IT General Controls (ITGCs) and application controls aligned with SOX requirements.
  • Partner with system and process owners to evaluate current control structures and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Documentation and maintenance of IT processes and controls (narratives, flowcharts, risk control matrices).
  • Risk Assessment & Compliance Monitoring
  • Lead risk assessments for IT systems impacting financial reporting and ensure adequate controls are in place.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of IT SOX controls and track key compliance metrics.
  • Development and execution of testing plans to assess IT control design and operating effectiveness.
  • Perform walkthroughs and control testing to evaluate control design and operating effectiveness.

Remediation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and evaluate IT control deficiencies, perform root cause analysis, and partner with stakeholders to develop effective remediation plans.
  • Collaboration with application owners on remediation planning.
  • Monitoring and follow-up on remediation activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the IT control environment through process optimization and automation.


Audit Support & Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison for IT SOX with internal and external auditors.
  • Coordinate audit requests, walkthroughs, and testing procedures across IT teams.
  • Review audit findings and assist in management’s response and action planning.

Policy & Standards Enforcement

  • Maintain and enforce IT control policies, procedures, and standards across IT platforms and applications.
  • Ensure alignment with cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

Training & Awareness

  • Provide training and guidance to IT staff and control owners on SOX compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Promote a culture of risk awareness and accountability within the IT organization.

The skills you bring:

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science (or equivalent experience), Master’s degree a plus
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in IT audit, IT compliance, or SOX-related IT risk management.
  • Additional Requirements: Certifications preferred: CISA or CRISC.

The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
