About this opportunity
We are looking for a Manager of Test Engineering to join Ericsson Estonia's dynamic team in Tallinn.
In this key role, you will oversee and lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the test engineering strategy, while managing a team of test engineers, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering collaboration to achieve business objectives.
You will develop, drive, and execute an end-to-end (E2E) Test Engineering strategy for the Tallinn site in alignment with the overall Test Technology Strategy.
This position requires full onsite presence at our office in Tallinn.
What you will do
• Develop and nurture teams, individuals, and the overall organization to achieve their full potential.
• Coach and mentor team members to unlock and maximize their potential, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Manage, plan, and review the unit to ensure alignment with the supply strategy and business objectives.
• Contribute to and participate in unit and organization-level decision-making processes.
• Take responsibility for the assigned Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and work towards achieving them.
• Work towards and monitor the defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the unit.
• Foster and ensure good cooperation and collaboration with business partners within Ericsson supply sites, Test Technology, EMS sites, global Test SW teams, and Product Engineering Unit organizations.
• Focus on enhancing team competence and capabilities to ensure smooth operations and effective delivery of results.
• Be responsible and accountable for the maintenance of test systems at the ESS site and responsible EMS sites in Tallinn.
• Implement a "Fit for Purpose Way of Working" approach aligned with Test Technology and Ericsson Supply Site (ESST) standards.
• Apply leadership techniques and practices in line with Ericsson guidelines and best practices.
• Develop and nurture teams, individuals, and the overall organization to achieve their full potential.
• Drive and lead continuous improvements in processes, methodologies, and performance metrics within the Test Engineering unit.
• Ensure that operations are executed in accordance with instructions provided by the Line Manager, while also providing feedback and recommendations for operational enhancements.
• Ensure compliant operations according to Ericsson Factory Handbook, ISO standards and local and global regulations.
The skills you bring
• Strong leadership skills with proven track record as a line manager of a technology team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to identify and address issues in the testing process
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a dynamic work environment.
• Experience in engineering (FR/ knowledge/electronics)
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team
• Business and customer understanding
• Good understanding of lean and agile ways of working
