About this opportunity
The Engineering Services and Experience (ESE) is a newly established unit within the RAN Software & Compute Platforms Engineering unit (RCE). Its primary goal is to enhance Developer Experience and drive technology evolution and optimization of the engineering environment flows for open and cloud-native RAN software development.
The sector “Orchestration & Automation Services” is end-to-end responsible for the Orchestration of STP pools and Lab as a service and the Automation service within RCE ESE. The sector responsibilities:
- E2E responsibility for self-service orchestration and orchestration services
- E2E responsibility for Test Automation Framework Development and operations
- E2E responsibility for Test Case Management
- E2E responsibility for Test Orchestration Scheduling service evolution, solutions development and operations
- E2E responsibility for Auto Deployment Services Development and operations
Reporting to Head of Orchestration & Automation Services, the Automation Manager will lead a team of highly competent and engaged engineers. This unit will be part of the design work for automation tools services.

What you will do:
- As a member of the PEU ESE Orchestration & Automation service team, actively drive innovation and product evolution
- Drive competence buildup and continuous improvement
- Setup long term product strategy, roadmap and define priorities
- Lead product evolution and optimization
- Adopt Lean and Agile ways of working
- Build close relationship with tool users
- Improve developer experience
You will bring
We are looking for an experienced leader, capable of leading technical and organizational development. You will lead a multi-site team, with all technical experts, architects, and OPO.
- Strong knowledge on test automation tools and orchestration tools
- Familiar with Ericsson RAN products
- Ability to work and cooperate across organizational boundaries
- Large degree of flexibility and willingness to take on different tasks
- Excellent English skills in both writing and conversation
