About this opportunity:
Join our newly formed Cloud Native IMS System Test Team and be part of designing the future of telecom. We’re building the next-generation CI/CD and system testing frameworks for Ericsson’s MTAS (Multimedia Telephony Application Server) and CSCF (Call Session Control Function) — two core products of our globally leading VoLTE-based IMS communication platform.
You’ll be part of the Product Development Group (PDG MTAS&CSCF), under PDU Communication Services (CUE). This team holds the global design ownership for MTAS and CSCF and is now launching the Cloud Native IMS transformation. With development sites in Sweden, Hungary and India, we work in a truly international and collaborative environment.
What you will do:
• Develop and maintain system-level test strategies and automated test suites (functionality, performance, security)
• Build and manage test environments and tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Design test frameworks that integrate with modern DevOps flows
• Track defects, analyze failures, and drive root cause resolution
• Maintain traceability, documentation, and ensure compliance
• Collaborate closely with development and operations to ensure fast feedback loops
• Continuously scout for and introduce new test technologies
The skills you bring:
Required Skills:
• Solid Linux administration skills for setting up and maintaining test environments
• Advanced scripting knowledge in Python, Java or Perl, and Bash (GO is a huge plus)
• Experience with Docker, container registries, Kubernetes, and Artifactory
• Familiarity with Git, Gerrit, and Jenkins for test execution and monitoring
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps-driven system testing
• Excellent command of English
Nice to Have:
• Domain knowledge in Telco Cloud or IMS systems
• Test architecture design for distributed microservice-based platforms
