The Financial Control Unit Manager, is financial control responsible for all the markets and entities within AU, NZ, PH, BR, SG, TH, ID & VN and reports to the Head of Financial Control APAC. The Financial Control Unit Manager is accountable for all activities within the Financial control Unit and the Unit Manager is a functional manager for Company Controllers and Tax Managers. In addition to the responsibilities of a functional manager also has Unit Manager responsibilities with line reporting employees. The Unit Manager is a member of Financial Control APAC Leadership Team.

The main responsibilities are to ensure financial governance, to guarantee high quality in accounting, to ensure legal entity and group compliance with local tax legislation. To ensure tax efficiency and mitigating tax risks, in the legal entities included in the Unit scope.

Within the boundaries of full compliance, the Unit manager shall always act in the best interest of the Group. The Unit manager of Financial Control is responsible for securing the financial management of the Ericsson entities included in the Financial Control Unit scope in alignment with the overall Ericsson Group objectives.

The Unit manager leads and develops the team of finance professionals within the Unit.

What you will do

  • Ensure compliance to internal and external financial reporting requirements for all Ericsson Entities in the scope
  • Ensure legal entity and group compliance with local tax legislation, tax efficiency and mitigating of tax risks
  • Ensure compliance to EOM for the Ericsson Entities and markets in scope for the Unit and ensure management of financial risks and corrective risk mitigation
  • Provide expert financial advice and ensure alignment with global financial processes and accounting directives
  • Line manager for the Unit including staffing and allocating resources, competence management and compensation. Performance management, target setting and reviews and develop competence management for the finance professional in the Unit
  • Ensure correct and efficient Entity Governance, in accordance with existing Group Instructions and directives
  • Support the quarterly closing with insights into commercial deals, market specific conditions and accounting matters. Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensure tax efficiency and mitigate tax risks
  • Drive efficiency and quality programs within the unit, driving Competence Management within the Unit
  • Together with the Financial Control APAC Leadership team drive the Financial Control APAC to continuous success

You will bring

  • Academic degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
  • Preferable broad experience from various types of finance positions
  • Experienced in GAAP (i.e. local GAAPs, IFRS, and Group Directives)
  • Experience of Tax and Treasury related matters
  • Experience and understanding of financial systems and models
  • Experienced leader with international experience
