We are looking for a Senior DevOps Operations Engineer to evolve pipelines and way of working to support and improve fast feedback times to application areas while delivering quality software to the release function. As part of the BOS ESOA Staging Operations, you will have the opportunity to be in a vibrant geographically team with varied strengths working on highly evolved pipelines with a deep competence in Dev Op’s and a clear roadmap of what we want to achieve over the coming years

What you will do

  • Use cloud native technologies and tools to continuously deploy and test on a container-based micro-service architecture.
  • Develop automation tools to improve build and delivery efficiency.
  • Identify bottlenecks and problems throughout the infrastructure.
  • Take initiative and responsibility for implementing solutions for quick turnaround or voicing possible mitigation actions where further support is required.
  • Drive continuous improvements of pipeline architecture, throughput, and processes.
  • Develop domain competence for the ESOA product to quickly triage issues.
  • Join a dynamic department where there will be opportunities for learning, trying out new roles and responsibilities and much more.
  • Present status updates in a clear concise fashion at various forums and to peers daily.
  • Mentor team members in any new learnings so the team knowledge grows.

What you will bring:

  • 5+plus years of proven experience providing hands-on technical expertise in Dev Op’s preferred.
  • Education: University degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or similar relevant field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Artifactory, Jenkins, Helm, Grafana, Prometheus, Resource pooling solutions, Linux, Networking and Git.
  • Experience developing pipelines using Spinnaker/Jenkins and debugging Pipeline issues.
  • Previous exposure to pipeline as code and template pipeline roll out would be viewed as a big benefit.
  • Experience with Git Op’s, Flux manifest’s, Flux CD, ESSVT would be of benefit.
  • Excellent understanding of cloud native test strategy and how staging operations contribute to fast feedback.
  • Cloud technologies (AWS/CCD/CNIS) will be huge plus.
  • Software development experience in Scripting/Python is a must have. Experience in multiple security domains including security strategy and risk management, security assessments.
  • Good knowledge on Application and Infrastructure (hosts and servers) performance monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Jenkins Jobs, Dora Metric’s etc)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate well within the team is key for any successful candidate.

Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee’s contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee’s contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, 3-5 personal days (depending on role), 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and unlimited sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
