About this opportunity:

Ericsson is seeking an experienced Senior Director and Head of Policy, Government and Policy Advocacy (GPA Sweden) to play a pivotal role in enhancing our insight, access, and influence with the Swedish government, policymakers, and parliamentarians. This is a remarkable opportunity for a visionary leader to shape policies that support Ericsson's business environment and drive digital transformation both within Sweden and on the international stage. As an advocate for Ericsson, you will be instrumental in positioning the company’s policy positions, ensuring that our interests are represented in crucial discussions and decisions that impact the industry.

What you will do

  • In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic advocacy objectives aligned with Ericsson's policy priorities in Sweden.
  • You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across different departments and forge partnerships with external entities to ensure Ericsson remains at the forefront of policy discussions.
  • Your role will involve assessing public policy matters, overseeing advocacy efforts, and actively engaging with the Swedish Government and key stakeholders.
  • Additionally, you will develop and maintain strategic relationships with politicians, government authorities, regulators, and trade associations to foster an environment conducive to Ericsson's growth and innovation.

The skills you bring

  • To succeed in this influential position, you will need a university degree in a relevant discipline and over 10 years of experience in government or corporate public policy, preferably within the ICT industry.
  • You are proficient in both spoken and written communication in Swedish and English.
  • You should possess a deep understanding of the policy-making process in Sweden, coupled with highly effective communication skills that resonate at both corporate and political levels.
  • Your strategic problem-solving skills should be robust, with a proven track record of delivering superior results in complex environments.
  • Experience in leadership and team-building within a matrix organization is essential, as you will be guiding diverse teams towards achieving Ericsson's advocacy goals.
