About the Role
At Ericsson Mobile Financial Services (MFS), we drive financial inclusion through cutting-edge technology. Our Ericsson Wallet Platform (EWP) empowers telecom operators and banks to offer services like peer-to-peer transfers, payments, disbursements, loans, and savings. The MFS Program Manager plays a pivotal role in leading large, complex, multi-country professional services engagements and ensuring seamless end-to-end delivery.
You will support Key Account Managers (KAMs) with technical insights and take responsibility for overall cost estimation (Contract Fulfilment Responsible role), as well as managing the delivery model (mix of on-shore, near-shore, and off-shore resources). This role is essential to successful delivery, strong customer engagement, and continuous service improvement.
What You Will Do
• Establish and maintain program/project baselines: define work breakdown, scope, secure resources (mainly Project Managers), and supervise execution.
• Manage multiple projects within the MFS cluster across various countries.
• Drive program execution by tracking progress, resolving conflicts, and handling critical issues.
• Lead IT System Integration projects exceeding USD 50M, involving diverse technologies.
• Deliver pan-African and multi-country programs with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams.
• Engage directly in project delivery with expertise in MFS, BSS, and Cloud.
• Understand the business and technical challenges of MFS and system integration projects.
• Improve project management discipline by innovating tools, methods, and processes.
• Foster customer and partner engagement by building trust and facilitating ongoing collaboration.
• Build strong C-level relationships (IT, Engineering, Marketing, Finance); maintain daily presence at customer sites as Ericsson’s key representative.
• Manage escalations in line with functional governance.
• Support pre-sales activities and contract preparations.
• Drive lead generation, up-selling, and funnel management throughout the engagement lifecycle.
• Mentor team members, identify talent, and support their development.
• Adapt to local customs and ensure compliance with Ericsson’s Code of Conduct and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) standards.
• Experience with global system integrators and automation is considered advantageous.
You Will Bring
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10–15 years of proven experience in Project Management within financial, banking, or IT integration services.
• Demonstrated success managing large-scale, complex delivery programs.
• PMP or Prince2 certification (required); Agile and DevOps (plus).
• Hands-on leadership with strong delivery and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in MFS, IT Systems Integration (APIs, etc.), and BSS.
• Strong financial and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead multi-cultural, cross-functional teams, fostering synergy and high performance.
• Solid understanding of OHS and a commitment to ethics and compliance.
