About this opportunity:
With over four years as an Ericsson Production Site, the Production team at the US 5G Smart Factory is looking to continue to develop our FA (Final Assembly) operator workforce. The FA Operator-Technician plays a crucial role in helping build Ericsson 5G radios and basebands by operating and maintaining our final assembly machinery and equipment.
We are seeking hard-working individuals who are passionate about technology and innovation. The chosen candidates will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment contributing to both volume production and new product introduction. This position offers an exciting chance to be part of a dynamic team driving continuous quality and efficiency improvement within the production environment and opportunities for future growth of both technical and leadership skills.
The key to success in this role will be the ability to efficiently toggle between production work and tackling maintenance issues as they arise. The mental code-switching from operator to technician, and then back again, will need to be as seamless as possible to minimize line down time.
What you will do:
- Perform assembly operations according to standardized work instructions and maintain production and quality standards
- Check machine readiness and conduct continuous monitoring of machine operations
- Ensure the right components are used in production
- Check the conformity of products by performing basic quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting functions
- General maintenance
- Thermal putty dispenser maintenance
- RAN Compute line maintenance
- Massive MIMO line maintenance
- Streetmacro / Manual FA line maintenance
- NPI line maintenance
- Speak up and contribute your ideas for improvements to your work areas
- Help to implement new improvements
- Participate in regular knowledge sharing and learning sessions
- Clean FA machines, tools, and equipment
- Organize your work area according to 5S principles
- Promote, understand, and strictly adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality guidelines without deviation.
The skills you bring:
- High school diploma
- Experience and certification in at least two FA lines: RAN Compute, Massive MIMO, Streetmacro/Manual FA, NPI
- The ability to communicate effectively with management and colleagues
- Proactive team player, committed to providing high quality work
- Ability to work overtime and/or flexible shift hours when required
- Ability to rapidly switch between differing tasks
