About this opportunity
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and overseeing automated processes, including Eco Bench and Laser Welding, to support the production of high-quality components. This role will require close collaboration with the design, production, and quality teams to ensure that the automated process operations consistently meet the required standards and specifications.
For our factory in Timisoara, producer of telecom antennas, we are recruiting for Process Automation Engineer.
You will be responsible for managing the Automated Processes involved in the construction of antennas
1. Process Development and Optimization:
• Develop and implementing use cases for ECo Bench systems
• Optimize laser welding processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
• Conduct experiments to determine optimal welding parameters (e.g., laser power, speed, focus) for different applications
2. Equipment Setup and Maintenance:
• Programming and configuring ECo Bench systems
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain laser welding equipment and ECo Bench systems to ensure reliable and consistent performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to laser welding, Eco Bench equipment and processes
3. Quality Assurance:
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to monitor and ensure the quality of laser-welded joints
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve any welding-related quality issues
4. Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with core team engineering to review product designs and ensure they are compatible with laser welding processes
• Offer technical support and conduct training sessions for production operators on automated processes
5. Documentation and Reporting:
• Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and weld parameter records
• Prepare and present reports on process performance, including key metrics such as yield, cycle time, and defect rates
To be successful in the role you must have:
• Relevant background in production fields
• Knowledge of PFMEA, Capabilities, time studies, line balancing
• Knowledge and work experience in using English at a proficiency level
• Knowledge and work experience in MS-Office at a good level
• 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, material properties
• Willing to learn
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Will be great if you have:
• Technical design knowledge, AutoCAD, Creo
• Experience with automated machineries / industrial robots
• Graduate Engineer
• Experience in programming ABB robots and PLC systems
• Understanding electrical drawings
