About the Opportunity:
Ericsson Cloud Software & Services (BCSS) provides industry-leading solutions for Core Network and Automation, Managed Services, Services Orchestration, and Telecom BSS. Business Area Cloud Software and Services (BCSS) consists of around 31 000 employees that are operating in many countries supporting our global customers across 180 geographies.
We’re looking for an inspiring leader with experience of developing and implementing impactful marketing and communications strategies that help BCSS business growth. Comfortable working in a fast paced, agile, and tech & creative focused environment, you, as the ideal candidate will have an extensive experience within your area of responsibility. You will build trust and work closely in cross functional topics with your colleagues in BCSS leadership team. You will also work in close collaboration with a broad set of external stakeholders such as customers, media, regulators and government representatives, partners etc.
You will lead a team of Marketing and Communications professionals on building BCSS awareness and perception, supporting sales growth and enabling BA transformation leveraging the areas in scope for the unit. You are also the communications advisor to BCSS Head and Leadership team working to ensure that BCSS acts true to its ambitions of clear, transparent, and consistent communication with its stakeholders and employees.
As a senior leader and a member of the BCSS and the Global Marketing and Communications leadership teams, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong ability to manage change, inspire, innovate, drive for efficiency, automation, and digitalization, collaborate, be result oriented, a problem-solver in a highly fast-paced, geographically diverse matrix organization working with the latest technologies of Telecom.
The location of this role is preferably at our headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. At Ericsson, we follow an office-first approach, so most of your time will be spent working face-to-face with colleagues in the office.
What you will do:
• Enable sales growth and business evolution by executing Marketing and Communication strategic priorities.
• Develop Marketing and Communication plans to achieve BCSS business goals.
• Act as marketing and communications advisor to BCSS Leadership team.
• Ensure clear, transparent, and consistent communication to BCSS stakeholders and employees.
• Drive contemporary portfolio marketing for BCSS solutions, manage engagement marketing activities with BCSS customer community
• Establish efficient employee communication, aligned with overall employee communications strategy and priorities, to build awareness, drive change management, secure leadership support and employee engagement, build a strong Ericsson culture, engagement, and confidence internally
• In close collaboration with the Group Function Marketing and Communications, drive external communications, campaigns, events relevant for BCSS.
• Secure global Marketing and Communications strategy implementation
• Support GF Marketing and Communications in matters relating to Corporate Communications and Investor Relations, including support in managing the company’s reputation
• Collaborate with Marketing and Communications Business Area & Market Area counterparts, global functional leads in the Group Function team, for efficiency and effectiveness in execution
• Build and continuously evolve BCSS Marketing and Communications team capabilities, enhance functional competence and business acumen, as well as foster a continuous learning.
What you will bring:
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the telecom industry advantageous – and ability to turn that knowledge into effective and efficient targets and strategies within areas of responsibility.
• Strong interest and ability to interact with customers and other relevant external stakeholders.
• At least 10 years of relevant senior experience in Marketing & Communications area or possibly in adjacent relevant areas
• Knowledge in Corporate reputation, Media relations, Internal Communications, Brand strategy, Customer Engagement Marketing, Digital Marketing
• Strategic approach, understanding business complexities
• Excellent analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate data into action and to use data to develop and measure Market & Communications programs for Cloud & Software Services.
Leadership:
• Senior leadership background and proven ability to understand and navigate complex situations and environments
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to interact with both internal and external stakeholders
• Very strong personal integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Strong ability to coach and advise Ericsson senior leaders, especially the Executive Team, on matters relating to Marketing & Communications areas of responsibility
• Excellent communication skills – in writing and verbally
• Strong ability to engage, lead, influence and inspire both the BCSS Marketing and Communications team and Market Area & Group Function counterparts
• Strong ability to develop the global function to build new capabilities, ie digital skills
• Solution oriented personality with a strong focus on results & outcomes.
• Change-driver - Open to new ideas, accepts challenges and leads with optimism; considers culture and understands how to implement culture change.
Minimum Requirements:
• University degree in PR, Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent training/experience.
• Proven functional track record, with reasonable large leadership responsibility, preferably in diverse businesses and cultural/geographic settings.
