About this opportunity

We are looking for Head of People MNEA Networks within People function in Market Area North East Asia (Mainland China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong). This role will report to Head of People, Market Area North East Asia (MNEA) and be a member of MNEA People Function Leadership Team. The location for this position is Yokohama, Japan.
This position is responsible for crafting an affirmative people experience, enabling a stronger focus on our business and our customers. The mission of this position is to integrate our People Strategies into our practices, ensuring transparency and clarity in our people-centric decisions. As the Head of People MNEA Networks, you will lead to implement actions and behaviors that inspire everyone to perform at their very best, cultivating an inclusive environment that encourages growth and advancement.

What you will do
• Encourage growth and career advancement among our Talents, in line with business direction. Lead development of organization capability changes in response to business demands (future ready organizations including competence upskill and reskill to build the critical competence, site strategy execution etc).
• Foster a strong performance culture through clear expectations and the importance to Ericsson by guiding managers to build high performing teams, rewarding outstanding performance and managing low performance. Inspire leaders and employees to engage in a strong feedback culture and utilize IPM.
• Influence diversity best practices & inclusion programs by tracking diversity measures according to set targets. Provide advocacy in the area of unconscious bias. Track diversity measures according to set targets. Challenge leaders in recruitment, succession planning and nominations.
• Guiding leaders in adhering to our values, purpose and philosophies for a positive employee experience. Influence leaders to be fair and transparent on job opportunities, for an open talent market. Support the leaders in the strategic leadership culture transformation. investigate and act upon potential violations of company policies and COBE.
• Be a true business partner to influence business direction through People analytics, strategic planning and advice by creating insights to guide decisions about business needs and create positive impact to the organization.
• As a member of MNEA People Function Leadership Team, collectively and collaboratively drive regional and global initiatives in strong partnership with Subject Matter Experts teams (Talent Management, People Analytics, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition and Development) to deploy solutions directly within MNEA Networks organization.

What you will bring

• Seasoned HR professional with knowledge of HR practices, principles, and procedures based on working closely with colleagues across the HR function and internal partners (SME/COEs, Finance, etc.).
• Bring an exceptional 10+ year career in HR, marked by strategic leadership and a proven track record of driving organizational transformation and supporting business success. A strategic and critical thinker with a broad understanding of talent and competency needs, adept at connecting business challenges with people strategy and identifying organizational gaps.
• Changemaker to embrace and drive culture transformation and demonstrate business impact in a fast-paced work environment.
• Talent focused on engaging talents of the organization through championing a culture of recognition and empowerment.
• Strong execution ability to take fact-based courageous and ethical decisions on business-critical matters and prioritization and execute them seamlessly and speedily, delivering results in a timely manner.
• Influencing and consultative to connect with people on many levels, create strong relationships and influence throughout the organization.
• Open minded and supportive to new ways of working, focusing on addressing the intent and needs of the organization, generating new ideas and looking for ways to drive continuous improvements.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication, presentation and facilitation skills. Cultural sensitivity and awareness for optimizing the effectiveness of various initiatives.
• A track record of results, problem-solving, and accountability in a highly matrixed organization, guide and lead the team to get the great of every team member. Proactively engage and empathetically collaborate with wider People function.
• Collaborative co-creator and co-ownership to oversee broader perspectives and achieve the common goal.
• Strong English communication skills with experience in a Japanese cultural or business environment.
