About this opportunity

PEU RAN Services is the R&D team that secures that Ericsson innovates and enables feature sets for 5G growth and monetization, including slicing, RedCap, time critical communications and reliable positioning. This enables operators to grow business beyond traditional mobile broadband (MBB).

PEU RAN Services is responsible for innovating and delivering customer value in 5G RAN software requirement area services and ecosystems. The PEU has design ownership of the main 5G traffic control software (RC, PP, and RPC software components), from both short- and long-term perspectives.

As the Head of the Product Engineering Group for RAN Services 4, you will be responsible for the software deliveries of the appointed/delegated RA tribes/sub-programs. You will work to support, empower, motivate, and grow employees by providing them with the best opportunities to deliver on their commitments and meet customer needs.

Key accountabilities of the role
• As a member of the PEU Services leadership team, define and execute on the global strategy and priorities.
• Lead a team of approximately 230 employees, inspiring a highly competent and engaged team.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for the assigned Requirement Area software development scope.
• Actively remove any impediments and blockers that reduce velocity and negatively impact the developer experience.

Site Head Role (Site Head role may be assigned based on the candidate's qualifications and suitability.)

• Head of Site R&D in Seoul.
• Drive and moderate strategic activities for the Seoul site.
• Host, initiate, and manage events at the Seoul site.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the Ericsson Seoul site.
• Collaborate with group functions (brand marketing, talent acquisition, media).
• Continuously develop and improve communication flow within the Seoul site and with surrounding communities.
• Be part of the Customer Unit leadership team in South Korea.

Qualification & Skill Requirements
• Sound product development experience and leadership of large global development teams, with a demonstrated passion for development.
• Strong domain knowledge to have the necessary credibility with our teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Experience in developing evolving technologies.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or commensurate working experience.
