We put data at the heart of every decision we make. You'll be part of the Data & Analytics team whose job is to enable Onfido to access insights and advanced analysis, and to provide quality datasets our ML models at the core of our business. In this role, as a Senior DataOps Engineer, you will be responsible for expending our data platform and designing, implementing, and maintaining data tools for our 500+ internal user community and our clients. Daily, you’ll closely collaborate with AI scientists, developers and analytics teams.
Responsibilities
- You will design and implement new modules of our data platform, including the infrastructure and the data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and storage
- You will collaborate with development and analytics teams to ensure data quality and availability
- You’ll provide tooling for the MLOps and AI teams to allow them to source quality datasets to train the ML models
- Implement monitoring and collaborate with Onfido and Entrust security teams to ensure data security
- Contribute to defining data strategies and roadmaps for data infrastructure
Requirements
- You have extensive experience working in DataOps or data engineering
- You have some proven experience using DataOps tools and technologies such as Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes in a professional environment
- You already used an analytical database (Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift) and you have some knowledge of data storage systems and formats such as Iceberg, Delta Lake
- You’re able to create and maintain a data infrastructure using an Infrastructure as Code tool like Terraform
- You are fluent with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala
- You have advanced knowledge of SQL and SQL optimisations
- You have Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog
- You know data security principles and compliance
- You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
