As a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work with product teams to deploy and validate the quality and scalability of user interfaces, printer drivers, and APIs. You will benchmark current systems, design and execute end-to-end tests, analyze results, identify bottlenecks, and then optimize the test suite to achieve maximum performance and quality. You will collaborate closely with your partners in software development to define and execute the test strategies and tactics, including automation.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for the Windows certified XPS and Linux printer drivers to drive Entrust card printers
- Automate as many tests as possible via API or other methods
- End-to-end automated deployment, setup and system testing of our solutions encompassing many of our software and hardware products
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot printer drivers on various Windows and Linux distributions.
- Help with obtaining and testing Microsoft certification on drivers
- Tests include environments will mostly be on-premises but likely will include cloud and mobile
- Create and provide metrics on test cycle times and suggest improvements to speed up cycle time
- Daily collaboration with the project teams, including project management, technical leads, tech writers and developer
- Interest in future leadership roles
Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in Test/Quality Assurance, IT Infrastructure or Support
- Windows and Linux experience
- Test case automation
- Programming experience in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Powershell or similar
- Experience with Agile/Scrum practices and an understanding of test role/responsibility under Agile development environment
- Must have unrestricted work authorization for US
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Computer Science or engineering equivalent
- Windows and Linux printing/printer driver testing experience
- Experience with Microsoft Print Test Tool (PTT)
- Experience with VS Code using Jupyter
- Experience with client software and web application testing. At Entrust, that would be Instant ID and Printer Dashboard.
- 1+ years of experience developing automated tests including with automation frameworks such as RestAssured, Appium, Selenium, and/or Playwright.
- Experience with Java and/or C#
- Printed image and color output knowledge
- VMWare and/or AWS experience and best practice knowledge
- GIT/Bitbucket experience for source code control
Experience with Jira for user story coordination, test case repository (Zephyr Essential), build integration and issue tracking.

Compensation Range:
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $87,737-$128,681 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
