We are looking for Senior Cloud Services Engineer to join our team!

In this role, you will be responsible for Design / Deployment of new services and providing 3rd line support for Managed Services.

Position Overview:

The Cloud Services Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the applications that are provided to our customers as part of our Managed Services Operations and will be focused on service delivery. The applications include managed Public Key Infrastructure, Digital Signing as a Service and HSM services. The applications are managed from our Network Operations Centre and run from our own datacenters and public cloud Services, such as Azure or AWS and in our Partner’ datacenters.

The successful candidate is a professional who prides themselves on their technical abilities and is comfortable working within a Linux environment. In addition, they possess a keen interest in keeping up to date on current and future technologies; has a willingness to continually learn and train; is flexible and adaptable; and communicates effectively with colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 3rd line support for the MSO applications.

  • Provide monitoring of the services to ensure uptime compliance with SLAs.

  • Design, test and implement the support infrastructure and automation tools including configuration changes and firmware upgrades.

  • Determine, test and document new application workflows proposed in upgrades and releases.

  • Ensure services will fulfill resiliency and disaster recovery requirements.

  • Manage activities with complete integrity and in accordance with the organisation's policies, systems, practices, programs and values.

  • Take part in supporting service-related issues including monitoring infrastructure, troubleshooting problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, collaborating with 3rd party support resources and fellow Cloud Service engineers to manage and optimize our platforms.

  • Proactively identify problems using available tools and monitoring.

  • Participation in regular customer-facing service updates and supporting the creation of service reporting data.

  • Participate in day-to-day service operations, technical guidance, and support issue resolutions, including duty pager support throughout the workday, as well as some evenings and weekends, in accordance with published Service Level Agreements.

  • Ensure service documentation is developed and up to date.

  • Drive documentation of Standard Operating Procedure documents and ensure compliance with change control processes and adherence to compliance standards and policies.

  • Install, configure, and maintain services on both Windows and Linux (RHEL) based systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or

equivalent experience or education is required.

  • Experience in customer relationship management.

  • Application-level service monitoring and management.

  • High Availability, High Security, Internet Data Centre experience, and the requisite rigor

needed to operate in that environment.

  • Experience with Red Hat Linux system operation.

  • General understand of networking principles, including TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, etc.

  • Must have unrestricted work authorisation for UK.

  • Ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in working in a secure environment.

  • Experience with Red Hat Linux system administration.

  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure).

  • Familiarity with SIEM solutions (Splunk).

  • Knowledge of PKI, SSL or Identity technologies.

  • Experience with automation tools, such as Ansible or Terraform.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to operate independently as well as part of a larger team.
