Position Overview:

The Sr Technical Sales Consultant provides technical consultancy, partnering with Entrust’s sales executives and supporting the sales process.

The Sr Technical Sales Consultant is expected to be a technical seller and able to provide a detailed understanding of the capabilities and limitations of specialized technologies.

This position is primarily focused on the government identity and security markets in Latin America and requires an individual that is able to travel across the region to secure business for the organization.

This role requires both technical and sales skills to understand customer needs/requirements to assist in the qualification of sales opportunities. This person will be viewed as a trusted advisor to help Internal sellers, customers and prospects utilize Entrust solutions.

Must be a self-starter who can multi-task, manage their time, prioritize accordingly and thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver demonstrations and presentations of solutions to customers and prospective customers.

  • Lead the effort to perform requirements gathering and collaborate with internal teams to architect a solution that meet customer needs.

  • Lead the technical track of proposal or quote generation.

  • Learn about Entrust solutions and technology in order to provide technical expertise, partnering with Sales Executives on the plan to bring it to the market.

  • Lead the sales effort at times when technical expertise is required. This is a customer facing role.

  • Interact with other industry and technical experts, inside and outside Entrust, to advance your team opportunities.

  • Work with your sales team on CRM activities in order to ensure that the pipeline and forecast are precise.

  • Complete account planning, annual budget and other sales related activities with your sales team.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, security field, or similar.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a customer-facing technical sales role.

  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly communicate technical information/solutions to a non-technical audience.

    • Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze the business impact of the technical solution -particularly in relation to the customer’s landscape -

  • Experience in selling with a team focused in government.

  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

  • Ability to travel 40% of the year to meet with customer and perform other sales activities.

  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Broad technical knowledge of, and aptitude for, government credentials issuance marketplace.

  • Ability to influence, drive conclusions, and propose options that will strengthen Entrust’s offerings and financials.

  • Previous experience with identification solutions.

  • Fluency in Portuguese.
